Social Media as a Daily Routine

A research based project in the frame of questioning our everyday life routines. I chose the topic social media consumption due to the role that social medial plays in our life for at least the last 10 years. The project is a part of my master study of Space&Design Strategies in the Art University of Linz Austria

The Honest App

Anti-active phone app: An app design in a form of around 3 minutes video.
It provokes the senses in a reversed way than the social media apps do i.e. a dissatisfying touch, a non-reactional interface, a patience friendliness and honest honest notification system.

Another way to say it: It is criticizing the way social media apps are designed.

Social Space

Analysis/Infographic 2018

A 2017 study shows that the average person will spend about two hours on social media every day, which translates to a total of 5 years and 4 months spent over a lifetime.

This info analysis visualizes 24 hours of my personal activities including smart phone/social apps consumption.

Help for smartphone holders

City Intervention 2018 “the trend to distraction”

In Austria, every sixth pedestrian is distracted through smartphone according to VVO the insurance association and KFV the board of trustees for safety at that time.

Therefore I went to the streets of Linz during the rush hour for a pop-up intervention to offer my help to the people holding phones to see their way. The intervention was a part of my research.
